The City of El Dorado is doing road construction that impacts the use of Main Street and bypass roads. Because of unforeseen complications, the road construction is behind schedule, and the city has told us we cannot have our Homecoming parade down Main Street as we normally do. We suggested several alternate parade routes, and the city denied them due to access challenges.
After much brainstorming, including with EHS Site Council, the high school sent a survey to the students to give them input into the event. We are thrilled that we will still get to have a Homecoming Parade with an alternate, shortened route. This will take place from Grandview Elementary to EHS. All USD 490 staff, students, and families are invited along with the El Dorado Community!
