Several JAG-K students competed at the Region 4 regional competition at Southwestern College in Winfield on Mar. 5, 2024.
Angela Swink placed second in Financial Literacy and qualified to compete at the state CDC competition at Fort Hays State University on Mar. 20, where she competed fiercely, but did not place.
Kacey Milligan competed in Prepared Speaking at regionals but did not place.
“Both of these individuals worked really hard to qualify and we are so proud of their accomplishments,” EHS JAG-K Instructor Brett Gunderson said.
Three Extend JAG-K students also competed at regionals but did not place: Shyanne Bryant, Shaelynn Jordan, and Kyrstin Mulcahey.
“They enjoyed competing and told me it was more fun than they expected,” Extend JAG-K Instructor Kody Melugin said.
While at Southwestern College, the students attended a career fair, toured campus, heard from the President of Southwestern College, and networked with other Region 4 JAG-K members.
