Grandview Elementary explored a new way to host a family math and reading night on November 16. They invited community members to partner up with classroom teachers to provide engaging learning activities for students and families.
Activities included a Christmas tree project, fire safety, games, tent building, photo booth, book giveaways, puppet shows, shark math, science experiments, reading, planting seeds, art projects, bicycle safety, and thumb wrestling.
Thank you to all of the community volunteers who attended or provided supplies: Cardinal Creek, El Dorado Fire Department, Butler Community College, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Bradford Memorial Library, Child Start, YMCA, HF Sinclair, El Dorado Parks and Recreation, United Way of El Dorado, Coutts Museum of Art, USD 490 Police Department, Sea Dragons Swim Team, EHS wrestling team, Jefferson Knapp, Walmart, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and South Central Mental Health.
