🚨Week with the Cats🚨
Congratulations to Sammy Schafer for placing 1st at the 7th grade league spelling bee at Haysville Middle School and Jonah Love for placing 3rd. Great job and way to represent EMS.
Our 8th-grade science students had a blast as they delved into the fascinating world of the rock cycle using a deliciously sweet approach - Starbursts! 🍬🔍
Using these colorful treats as their models, our budding geologists observed and discussed how rocks undergo various processes to transform from one type to another. From sedimentary to igneous to metamorphic, each stage of the rock cycle was beautifully represented by the vibrant hues of Starbursts.
It was truly a hands-on learning experience that sparked curiosity and excitement in our students. Who knew learning about rocks could be so tasty and fun?
🚨EHS Cheer tryouts are a week away.🚨
🚨Week with the Cats🚨

🚨Week with the Cats🚨
Today, our budding scientists had a hands-on experience visually learning about the difference between physical and chemical changes by making rock candy!
From observing the sugar crystals forming to understanding the chemical reactions taking place, our students immersed themselves in the fascinating world of chemistry. Through this engaging activity, they not only satisfied their sweet tooth but also gained valuable insights into the principles of matter transformation.
Kudos to Mrs. Sutton for providing such enriching learning opportunities that ignite curiosity and spark creativity in our students! Let's continue to inspire a passion for science and exploration in the hearts and minds of our future scientists!
