EHS Orchestra, Band, and Encore performed at State Large Group Festival Apr. 10, 2025. All three groups received 1 Superior rating (I) and 2 Excellent ratings (II)! Congratulations to all musicians and directors!

Approximately 35 students from El Dorado High School’s Band, Choir, and Orchestra participated in the 2025 KSHSAA Regional Music Festival for Solos and Small Ensembles on Saturday, March 29, at Andover High School.

Ten solos and two ensembles earned a top “Outstanding” rating and will advance to the KSHSAA State Music Festival at Andover Central High School on April 26. Congratulations to vocalists Koda Edwards, Chloe Iverson, Riley Nichols, Madelyn Olson, Addison Penner, Tobias Somerville, Isabelle Todd, and Grace Wise, as well as Riley Nichols on flute and Tiara Martin on trumpet. Also advancing are the Sophomore String Quartet: Addison Penner and Makenzie Reiswig on violin, Isabelle Todd on viola, and Alaxis Jensen on cello along with the Woodwind Duet of Min Castor on clarinet and Riley Nichols on flute.

Students who received an “Excellent” rating include vocalists Justus Browne, Raurei Church, William Collette, E.J. Diffendal, Gabriella Jones, and Makenzie Marshall. Instrumental students earning an “Excellent” rating include Addison Penner on violin, Alaxis Jensen on cello, Tanner Riddle on trumpet, and Justus Browne on bass clarinet.  Ensembles receiving an "Excellent" rating include the duet of Makenzie Reiswig on violin and Alaxis Jensen on cello and the trio of Kaylinn Hoover and Addison Penner, violin, and Isabella Mitchell on bass.
