To help keep high school students safer and more focused online, USD 490 has adopted online services provided by GoGuardian.
How are we using GoGuardian?
We are using GoGuardian services to:
Help protect students against harmful and inappropriate online material
Help students stay more focused when learning online
Facilitate communication between teachers and students during class time
When and how does GoGuardian operate?
GoGuardian’s web-based services operate when a student is signed in to their school managed account while using a supported device (i.e., when a student is logged into their school email address). USD 490 will be utilizing GoGuardian on Windows laptops and Chromebooks at this time. GoGuardian will operate when students are at school and at home.
USD 490 enables teachers to use GoGuardian Teacher with students in their classes only during school hours from 07:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
