Explore 490 is a summer academic enrichment camp offered exclusively to USD 490 students who are in grades K-5. Students will rotate between classrooms focused on reading, math, social studies, and science skills.

Our 2nd graders recently had the opportunity to go to the Kansas Oil Museum, right here in El Dorado! They spent the afternoon learning about the history of our area led by local tour guides! #BEfamily #PartOfThePride #MyEldo
5th grade had an excellent time in Topeka at the Capital! The toured the building, learned some of the history of the building and processes within the building, as well as had to chance to go to the TOP of the dome! #BEfamily #PartOfThePride

CONGRATULATIONS to Blackmore's Natalie Walker on having her dog painting accepted for publication in the Spring 2024 Celebrate Art Anthology national book! Out of 40 submissions from USD 490 schools, hers was the only one selected to be included for publication in the anthology.

USD 490 purchased eclipse glasses for all students and staff to view the upcoming solar eclipse on Apr. 8, 2024. In our area, the maximum eclipse will be around 1:49 PM.
