It's so much fun to deliver Great Gator awards to our kindergarteners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders. Our students are learning those Grandview Gators ABCs and the Choose To Be Nice Words of the month and their meaning. So proud of them!!

The kindergarten have been learning about “Carnival of the Animals” by Saint-Saëns in music class. On this day they heard “Aquarium” and pretended to be fish in the ocean with scarves and made the cute fish you see in the picture. They have had a blast learning how this music sounds like so many animals. They have been coming to class asking “Which animal are we going to learn today?” Many students have suggestions of what the next animal should be!
These first graders earned the bronze, silver, and gold medals for reading the most minutes last month! They are also keeping the Olympic Spirit going with keeping track of the actual medal count for their assigned country!
Our fabulous counselor and social worker surprised all staff members on Tuesday with a very well stocked treat cart. They had it all from soda to sweets to healthy snacks. Isn't this an awesome idea of how our GE team takes care of each other!
Love to visit the classrooms of our youngest students! So cool!!
Grandview students had the privilege to package meals at Numana for people in Kentucky. It was a fabulous opportunity for our students to give back to their global community. Our youngest students decorated boxes that will be shipped all over the globe in hopes of brightening someone's day with their art talents.
It was also a lot of fun!
Grandview Spelling Bee Champs!! We are so proud of Champion, Amelia, and Runner-up, Levin!!
It was great fun finishing the day in 2nd grade reading one of my favorite stories!

Catch a look at the cool light table in Mrs. Baumgartel's room. She received this table that changes light colors by writing a PIE (Partners In Education) grant.
