7th Grade Football parents/guardians. We are looking for a couple adults to run the chain crew for home football games. You would be on the opposing sidelines during the entire 7th grade game, so discretion is a must. If you are interested, you can call the office or email Nathan Sherwood at nasherwood@usd490.org

The staff members named as the EMS Staff of the Month for both August and September are Randy Morris and Lindsay Cooper. We are blessed to have them in the building and part of the EMS staff.
EMS cross country will not be attending the meet in Prairie Hills today. Runners can only participate in 7 meets, and we have 8 on our schedule. This keeps us in compliance with KSHSAA rules.

🐾 I am thrilled to share that some our students have been amazing since the start of school. These Cats have been going above and beyond in so many ways. From their dedication in the classroom to their kindness on the bus, teachers and bus drivers have recognized this and spent time writing positive office referrals for a few of these students.
🎉 While delivering the rewards in the classroom, I encouraged students to keep building strong relationships, working to be positive role models, and embracing middle school for all it has to offer so they could earn a positive office referral themselves. Together, we can make El Dorado Middle School a special place to grow and learn

Today, student council members from El Dorado Middle School are participating in the Middle School STUCO Workshop held at Derby North Middle School. The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) has organized this event, featuring Kim Karr, a renowned national speaker and the executive director of #ICANHELP– DIGITAL4GOOD, as this year's keynote presenter.

Due to the extreme temperatures and for the safety of our students, staff, and families, the Back to School Kickoff/Jamboree scheduled for this Friday, August, 25, 2023, has been canceled.
Many of the activities that were planned for that event will be moved to the first home football game on September 1. There will still be a discount offered on sports passes. More details will be released about those discounted passes and postponed activities as they become available in the next few days.
