Built in 2013, El Dorado Middle School (EMS) is located on the northeast edge of El Dorado and serves all sixth through eighth grade students in USD 490.
The building can accommodate up to 550 students. They are the wildcats and the school colors are red and black.

EMS has implemented an iPad initiative for all students 6-8th grade. Students will have an iPad for their instructional use all day which will be checked in at the end of the day. For more information click on this link - EMS iPad.

Mission
The mission of El Dorado Middle School is to intentionally instruct learners in a rigorous curriculum of communication, problem solving and essential skills, and interpersonal skills for students to become productive, independent learners in a 21st century world.
